Before an academic appointee can be officially hired at Yale and granted access to their Net ID and Yale email, the academic unit overseeing the appointment must confirm the appointee’s arrival with the Office for Postdoctoral Affairs.
To confirm arrival, please forward the appointee’s arrival email along with the requisition number to the appropriate contact:
- For Yale School of Medicine (YSM) Postdoctoral Appointments: Abby Davi
- For Yale School of Medicine (YSM) Postgraduate Appointments: Daniela Velarde
- For the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) and all other Professional Schools: Alisa Paradise
Per OPA policy, confirmation of arrival must clearly indicate that the individual is physically present in New Haven or elsewhere in Connecticut and is ready to begin work. Please note that simply stating a residential address, indicating residency in Connecticut, or mentioning future arrival plans does not meet the criteria for confirmation of arrival.
The appointment cannot be finalized until arrival confirmation has been received.
