An objective is an action plan that will bring you closer to accomplishing your goals. Sometimes it will take multiple actions to achieve your objective. For example:
- Goal = Increase your teaching experience
- Objective = Teach 2 classes per year
- Actions = 1) Contact 5 colleagues in various departments and institutions by July 2 to explore teaching opportunities. 2) Check online postings and apply to teach at least 4 courses per semester.
