This repository is intended to be used and adapted by a variety of users; from those who have a wealth of experience in mentorship to those who are new in mentoring or being mentored. In both our own personal experience and in our professional work, we recognized the importance of effective, supportive mentorship and the impact it can have at the individual, group, and institutional level as well as the frequent lack of training or discourse on mentorship day-to-day. That being said, there are a number of organizations which have conducted research and created (frequently for public, free use) amazing resources to support increased awareness of the importance of mentorship and encourage attention to implementing supportive mentorship practices.
