Yale’s postdoctoral compensation scale is updated July 1 of each year. Below are the minimum levels as of July 1, 2016.  Note that this scale was adjusted on December 1, 2016 in anticipation of changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Compensation Above Salary

Compensation above salary (“extra comp”) for postdoctoral fellows and associates is expected to be rare and granted only in exceptional circumstances. Requests for compensation above salary must be made in advance to the Office for Postdoctoral Affairs.
